Parking at the Cable Factory
Cable factory area is a private area.
Parking with Cable Factory's car parking permit
On Tammasaarenkatu next to Cable Factory, there are about 50 parking spaces. Parking to these spaces require a valid parking agreement with Cable Factory and the use of electronic parking permit system. With parking permit, parking is permitted to these spaces every day of the week and any time of day.
Please note: on weekdays (Mon-Fri) at 6am-6pm these parking spaces are reserved only for those who have Cable Factory's car parking permit.
Parking spaces numbered 1-5 in Tallberginkatu are reserved every day of the week and any time of day for the use of Kiinteistö Oy Kaapelitalo. Parking to these spaces require always a special parking permit issued by Cable Factory.
Parking without Cable Factory's car parking permit
On Tammasaarenkatu, parking is permitted without parking permit on weekdays (Mon-Fri) at 6pm-12pm and on weekends (Sat-Sun) at 8am-12pm. Single parking tickets can be paid with Easypark or Parkman applications or credit cards and coins in ticket machines (located at Cable Factory's seafront).
The city of Helsinki has public parking spaces around Cable Factory. There are several payment options available in the ticket machines. Ruoholahti shopping centre offers about 1,500 payable parking spaces. There are 195 paid parking spaces for short-term parking in WeLand.
Loading parking spaces
Two loading parking spaces (next to the parking spaces 1-5) on Tallberginkatu are reserved only for loading purposes. Parking to these spaces is forbidden.
There are two loading parking spaces in the inner courtyard. Parking is allowed for a maximum of 15 minutes to deliver or collect goods. Parking in front of the stair doors should be avoided.
Disabled parking spaces
There are two disabled parking spaces marked with a wheelchair sign in the inner yard. Free parking for the disabled is allowed only at these marked places and the allowed 4 hours time.
There are two City of Helsinki's disabled parking spaces in Tammasaarenkatu.
Bicycle parking
Cable Factory's bicycle parking spaces are in the inner court yard and on Tammasaarenlaituri.
Charter buses and trucks
There are no indicated parking spaces for charter buses or trucks.
Electric vehicle recharging points
The Cable Factory has 14 EV recharging points on the Tammasaarenkatu side (the first parking bays from the museum corner onwards). The recharging points can also be used as block heater poles.
Note: Cable Factory’s recharging points are always available for those who have the Cable Factory parking permit. For outside users, the recharging points are only available for recharging from 6 pm to 8 am.
Cable Factory’s Schuko recharging sockets deliver a maximum charge of 3.7kWh. This is slow charging, so an EV has to be recharged overnight. Using the charging service at Cable Factory’s recharging points costs 0.25 € / kWh (incl. 24% VAT). The recharging service at the Cable Factory is run by Parkkisähkö Oy, a provider of carpark electricity solutions.
